Building in a New Tradition

The construction sector must scale fast to meet the needs of rebuilding, housing, and infrastructure — but most regions lack heavy lifting equipment or the time for complex site operations. Produktif’s answer is a hybrid framing tradition: combining volumetric 3D modules with 2D panelized elements that ship flat-pack and assemble on site. All parts are lightweight (ideally less than 25kg for the repetitious handling of two-person teams).

Four Product Classes (C1–C4)

Our system addresses 100% of the building by organizing components into four product classes, each scored with DfAD™ (Design for Assembly & Disassembly):

  • Class 1 – Structure (Skeleton):
Productif’s patterned CLICK connectors join beams into multiple configurations, forming hybrid 2D/3D frames. This provides the structural backbone for scalable buildings up to 7 stories.
  • Class 2 – Functions (Panels & Pods):
Prefabricated panels and pods — from bathroom PODs to circulation modules — integrate with the Class 1 frame. Modules can be stacked and weight transferred via exoskeleton logic (validated by SINTEF).
  • Class 3 – Surfaces (Skins):
A mix of hard, soft, vegetated, and high-performance façade systems, including BIPV and thermal layers. Skins provide insulation, energy generation, and expressive architecture.
  • Class 4 – Services (Flows):
MEP and HVAC systems, including IoT-enabled energy and information networks. Designed for integration with Classes 1–3, these flows provide both the “cardio-vascular” and “neural” systems of a building.

Why This Matters

  • Rapid Deployment:
  • Scalability: hybrid 2D/3D system, expandable to 7 stories.
  • Circularity: every class scored for reuse, multiple product lifecycles, tracked digitally.
  • Partnerships: Class 1 is Produktif IP; Classes 2–4 integrate with third-party suppliers through connectors, enabling an open ecosystem.

Call to Action

We invite suppliers, developers, municipalities, and investors to join us in scaling this system. By addressing 100% of the building holistically — skeleton, functions, skin, and services — we can build faster, lighter, and smarter. Together, we can create autonomous, integrated, and diverse communities by design.
